Project Overview:

The project, “Improving the Social, Economic, and Educational Opportunities of the Vulnerable Christian Population in Erbil and Duhok Governorates in Iraqi Kurdistan: This project is financed by CEI, funded by the 8xmille of the Chiesa Cattolica Italiana No: 251/2024, led by ICU, and implemented by Rwanga Foundation in partnership with CUE.The initiative aims to contribute to the social and economic development of the Christian community in Iraqi Kurdistan, with a particular focus on vulnerable youth aged 18-35. By enhancing social, financial, and educational inclusion, this project seeks to empower young individuals with the skills and tools they need to build sustainable livelihoods and make meaningful community contributions.

Project Objectives and Key Components

  1. Technical, Vocational, and Educational Training (TVET):
    Up to 45 days, participants will undergo specialized training in key technical and vocational fields, including:
    • Mobile Maintenance
    • Mechanical Engineering (Car)
    • Solar Power Systems
    • Sewing
  2. Employment and Work Readiness Program:
    The most outstanding participants from the TVET phase will progress to an intensive 3-day employment and work readiness program, designed to prepare them for the job market. This will be followed by a 3-month internship program with private sector organizations, providing participants with practical experience and an opportunity to apply their newly acquired skills in real-world settings.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Supervision and Coordination of TVET Activities:

  • Offer participants a combination of practical and theoretical training.
  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure the smooth implementation of TVET activities.
  • Supervise the daily operations of training sessions to ensure compliance with program objectives.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between trainers, participants, and project management.

2. Data Collection and Documentation:

  • Collect and manage data related to participant attendance, performance, and feedback.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records, including signature sheets and participant questionnaires.
  • Prepare and submit periodic reports summarizing the collected data and insights.

3. Preparation of Materials:

  • Prepare signature sheets, questionnaires, and any other required documentation for training sessions.
  • Ensure that all materials are available and distributed to participants and trainers on time.

5. Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Support communication and coordination between participants, trainers, and the broader project team.
  • Address any concerns raised by participants or trainers during the training sessions.

6. Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with project guidelines and donor requirements.
  • Report any issues or incidents to the project manager promptly.

7. Capacity Building:

  • Encourage a participatory approach to foster engagement and commitment to learning.

8. Logistical Support:

  • Provide logistical support during training activities, including arranging venues, materials, and schedules.
  • Ensure the timely distribution of resources and materials to all stakeholders.

9. Quality Assurance:

  • Evaluate the quality of training sessions to ensure they meet the required standards.
  • Gather participant feedback to identify areas for improvement in future training activities.

Delivery of Services

Duration: 45 working days scheduled on weekdays only according to the attendance sheet, excluding Fridays, and any public holidays.
